On Saturday, June 21st, our campaign held an unforgettable Day of Action across District 21—uniting volunteers, labor partners, and neighbors in Corona, East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, and Lefrak City. From knocking on doors to energizing conversations on the street, it was a powerful reminder that this campaign is more than a candidacy—it’s a community-led movement for change.
I’m running for New York City Council because the people of this district deserve leadership that doesn’t just listen, but delivers. We’re organizing for what families have been demanding for years: affordable housing, safer streets, less crowded schools, clean air, reliable sanitation, and a thriving environment that supports our children and small businesses.
Environmental justice, flood prevention, public safety, and school construction aren’t campaign slogans for me—they’re long-standing priorities I’ve fought for as a district leader and state committee woman. In City Council, I’ll finally have the tools to turn advocacy into action and deliver real results where they matter most.
This Day of Action was fueled by the incredible energy of our supporters and powered by bold endorsements from organizations who share our vision:
UNITE HERE Local 100, UFT, CWA, Hotel Trades Council, Local 372, NYCLASS, Voters for Animal Rights, the League of Humane Voters, the NY League of Conservation Voters, the Statewide Association of Minority Businesses, Lights Out Coalition, and more.
I’m also proud to have the support of labor giants like the Mason Tenders District Council of Greater New York and Long Island and Laborers Rising LiUNA! Their partnership shows that working people believe in this campaign and we will fight alongside them to protect their rights, expand opportunities, and invest in the dignity of labor.
As we knocked on doors and made calls, one thing was clear: the people of District 21 are ready for change. And with Election Day approaching, now is the moment to harness that energy into action.
🗳️ Early voting continues through Sunday, June 22nd.
📅 Election Day is Tuesday, June 24th.
